LAKE OWASSO GEOGRAPHY
Lake Owasso lies at aprox. 45 degrees latitude north and 93 degrees longitude west. This body of water was created by an almost mile high glacier that descended on Minnesota a couple million years ago. The depressions carved into the earth by movement of the ice were filled with water from the melt when the last of the glaciers retreated about 12,000 years ago. The natural history of this area includes mountains, volcanoes and oceans. More about thatBelow are some links to maps. The DNR has lake depth, while google has the satellite and street maps
